Honey is a natural product produced by bees. It is formed when bees treat the nectar collected from the plants. In order to get 100g of honey, they must reach almost 1000 000 of blossoms and to overcome 45 000 km distance.

Honey contains almost all existing microelements and important ferments. There are substances in the honey which have antibacterial effect.

In various regions of the world the composition of honey differs, because of different flora, blooming duration, nectar development intensity and other factors. Summers of Latvia are short, plant blooming is intensive and many of them are blooming simultaneously, therefore honeybees precisely use every proper moment to collect nectar. So honey collected in the beehives is varied and rich in composition.

Used for interior and exterior troubles of the body. If used before eating, then it increases the content of gastric acids, if 2-2.5 hours after eating, then it hinders the process of secretion of gastric acids. Daily dose 1-2 soupspoons. In cases of bloodvessels, liver and nervous system disorders use till 100 -150 g a day in dietetic foods. If purulent wounds, use bandage with honey.
Natural honey only crystallizes. Crystallized honey becomes fluidic again. In order to melt crystallized honey, a jar is put into water at temperature 40-50°C. The jar can be opened before or after heating. Go on heating, unless honey becomes fluid.
